The Light The Night Walk - Benefit For Victims Of Leukemia and Lymphoma
Info:

The Light the Night walk is a benefit to aid those in need in the time of a health crisis. The benefit helps the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that in turn helps individuals with support in their trying time. I was contacted by an individual who had known Tommy McManus of Mama's Boys who passed away after a reoccuring battle with leukemia in 1994. Tommy waited on a bone marrow donor list for a year and that is where this benefit comes in. The key to helping such individuals such as Tommy is being educated in what you can do and how you can do it. Here are a few ways to get involved:

1. Become a bone marrow doner - All it takes is a prick and a squeeze of the finger to be tested for compatibility. You can stay on the donor           registry until you are age 61.

2. Sponsor a patient by walking the benefit walk - You can walk in many areas in the country - Go to this link for more info:

3. Donate to a participant - Definitely the easiest way to get active and help out. Donate what you feel you can.

4. There are also various ways to donate online such as Paypal, E-greetings, etc. It is pretty easy to do if you are limited on time.

The individual That contacted me is walking in tribute to Tommy McManus, which I belive to be an honorable thing. After having a bit of an inside on the McManus family, I believe this to be a thoughtful thing for a very talented and caring family and to remember Tommy and the fun that he brought us fans. His legacy will definitely live on!
